Today is a very special day for you
And for all the rest of us, too.
See, without you this big ol’ marble would be a drag.
Every day would surely sag.
But a world without you, thank goodness, is not to be.
Finally, something on which all of tumblr can agree!
It’s your birthday today, January 31:
A day filled with you and therefore fun.
So sing out and sing strong,
‘Cause it’s you and your songs that help us get along.
From Molly to Mark, to “the state of your knees”
And your lullabies that put us at ease,
You’ve made such a difference, and not just online
You’re a wonderful person, all of the time.
I can’t see you today, probably not for a while,
So I’ve written this poem instead, in a very loose style.
May your day be full of joy and connective tissues
And be completely free of all kinds of issues.
